The Dr. Zoltán Paál Foundation on Catalysis Research announces call on the

2024 Dr. Zoltán Paál Prize

One young Author will be awarded, who published the best publication in the field of heterogeneous catalysis in 2023/24. The Nominees should come from the organizing countries of the 16th Pannonian International Symposium on Catalysis.

The Prize will go to the young (first, or corresponding authorship is preferred) Author of the publication, who is a researcher under the age of 35 (in the case of women, the age limit increases by 2 years per child) and who have already published in high quality journal as a first or corresponding author before. The sum of the award is 150,000 HUF (ca. 400 EUR). Applicants should send:

  • the nominated article (already published or accepted),
  • a short CV of the young Author and list of publications

by e-mail to the Chairman of the Board (József Sándor Pap, pap.jozsef@ek-cer.hu) or to the Head of HCS (András Sápi, sapia@chem.u-szeged.hu). The Awardee will be selected on the basis of the suggestions of Referees from the organizing countries with the agreement of the Board of the Foundation. If participating, the Awardee will receive the Prize at the 16th Pannonian International Symposium on Catalysis, where He/She can also present His/Her results in a short presentation. In the event of the recipient’s absence, the award will be delivered to him/her.

The deadline for applications is the 10th of July 2024.
